Note: An owner must obtain approval of the strata corporation before making an alteration to a strata lot that involves: the structure of the building, the exterior of a building, chimneys, stairs, decks, balconies, air conditioners, awnings, fans, satellite dishes, windows, doors, skylights, fences, railings, and common property located within the boundaries of the strata lot. Included also are those parts of the strata lot which the strata must insure, such as floor and wall coverings, electrical and plumbing fixtures.
